Orland Township and Supervisor Paul O’Grady will host the upcoming 2024 Orland Township Senior American Idol on March 7.
The event will be held at Georgio’s Banquest at 8800 W 159th St. in Orland Park. The evening kicks off at 4:30 p.m., with dinner to be served at 5:30 p.m. The sining competition will take place after the meal.
The competition will require contestants to sing their favorite songs over the course of three rounds. This year, eleven contestants are competing to impress both the audience, and the celebrity judges who will determine this year’s Senior Idol. Audience members can also show their support for singers by contributing to designated ballot boxes, which will add extra points to their final scores.
"We are so excited to be hosting the Orland Township Senior American Idol competition again this year," said Supervisor O'Grady. "This is a great opportunity for our community's seniors to showcase their talent and passion for singing. I encourage everybody to come out and experience this fantastic event!”
Tickets are required for the event and will cost $30. This includes entrance, a plated dinner, and access to the cash bar. Proceeds from the event go towards the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation, directly benefiting local youth in the community.
