Orland Township rolled out the red carpet for Bingo Fest 2023, and boy, did the community show up! More than 400 folks gathered for a night of bingo and bonding, all in the name of raising funds for the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation. The foundation helps local students fund their college dreams based on factors like grades, community involvement, and leadership skills.

Before the games began, guests were treated to live tunes by Erik Donner and a delicious dinner spread consisting of french fries, sliders, salad, and an assortment of other appetizers. White Sox tickets, jewelry, and gift certificates to local hotspots had the crowd on the edge of their seats. All in all, the event raised over $10,000, which is no small feat.

The success of Bingo Fest 2023 speaks to the strong sense of community in Orland Township. “It's amazing to see so many people come together for a good cause and have a great time while doing it. The Orland Township Scholarship Foundation is a wonderful initiative that provides much-needed assistance to local students pursuing higher education. Plus, I had no idea there was such a massive bingo event out here!” said Orland Park resident Roberta Williams.

The foundation's focus on academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership skills ensures that it's not just about handing out money, but also recognizing and rewarding exceptional individuals. “It's exciting to think about what the future holds for Orland Township and the many ways its residents will continue to come together and make a positive impact.” said Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

Students faced with hardships are given strong consideration. Applicants must be residents of Orland Township, high school seniors graduating in 2024 and enroll as a full-time student at a college, university, trade, or vocational school.
